How to reach us
From the airport: The Gulbenkian Institute of Molecular Medicine (GIMM) is located in the town of Oeiras, 20 mins away from the center of Lisbon by public transport. After arriving to Lisbon airport, participants can reach the GIMM by taking the subway up to Cais do Sodré (red line from the Airport up to Alameda and then green line from Alameda until Cais do Sodré) and then the regional train from Cais do Sodré until Oeiras (Cascais train line).
From Carcavelos Beach Hotel Oeiras: GIMM is located approximately 40 minutes away by foot from Carcavelos Beach Hotel. To reach GIMM from Carcavelos Beach Hotel participants can follow the boardwalk ('passeio marítimo') until the beach of Santo Amaro, where there is an underground passage leading to the Jardim Municipal Almirante Gago Coutinho and the Oeiras train station. Directions from the hotel to GIMM: shortest path or a more scenic alternative.
Accommodation
Participants will be hosted in double rooms at Carcavelos Beach Hotel, near the Carcavelos Beach, approximately 40 minutes away by foot from the GIMM Oeiras campus. More information regarding accommodation will be provided by email prior to the participants arrival.
